Messy: Handling Conflict & Controversy in Church [Part 1]

If you have an issue with someone in our church, how should you handle it?  What’s step number one?  For Jesus, it starts (as usual) with your heart.  When we feel very passionately about something or, worse, we’re hurt by someone, it’s very hard to do a solid heart check before we engage with a person.  Think about your own experience with church.  I’m sure you can think of a time where someone was hurt and things weren’t handled in a way befitting a follower of Jesus.  What about you personally?  Have you caused harm or been harmed?  Listen as we explore Jesus’ model for handling conflict and controversy in church.
