Googling God: How can I know why we suffer?

The existence of suffering in the world has been a tremendous challenge to the idea of God for many years. It seems that if suffering exists, then we have a God who doesn’t care about suffering, actually desires people to suffer, or is unable to prevent suffering. Can suffering be somehow reconciled with the idea of God?  Can we find meaning or purpose in suffering, or is that only possible without suffering?  Does living in America impact how we answer this question? Listen to wrestle with the idea of how suffering and a loving God can and should co-exist.
