When Your Faith is "Not Enough" [Enough Part 2]

This week focuses on what happens when we bring Jesus our shaky faith that doesn’t feel enough. Immediately after feeding the 5,000, Jesus sends his disciples out on a boat to ponder what just happened and to give them another faith-building opportunity. It’s here that we see one of the more famous (or infamous) moments from Peter’s life…his attempt to walk on water with Jesus. It’s in this moment that we learn an important lesson about shaky, but willing faith.

Bring What You Have [Enough Part 1]

We kick off the year by confronting the pressure to be more by hearing Jesus’ invitation to bring what you have. In the feeding of the 5,000, a boy brings a simple lunch, the disciples bring limited faith, and the crowds bring real hunger…and Jesus goes to work. This message is for those who need a reminder that God works with what we bring, not with what we wish we had.

Living In Between: The Already & the Not Yet

We just celebrated the moment in time when God stepped into our world with the birth of Jesus. Jesus came in human form so He could die and defeat sin and death. When He returned to Heaven, He promised to set things right again. Love: Love Came Down [St. Nick Loves Jesus Too - Part 4]

Love is the core feature of the real Christmas story, and if you think about it, it's also what clearly drove St. Nick to do what he did. He is a legendary figure around the world for a reason, but it's important to remember that there was something inside him that went far beyond simple gifts. The real St. Nick had experienced the love of a creator who said, "I choose you, and I love you." The legend of St. Nick is built on that simple truth. Peace: The Giver Who Ends Our Fears [St. Nick Loves Jesus Too Part 2]

St. Nick understood the gift of peace that Jesus offered by coming to earth. He would bring peace to people on an individual level, but he also provides peace with our creator, God. Christmas is a season of giving, but it can easily turn into a season of consumerism and debt-laden choices that bring stress and anxiety. However, St. Nick understood that by meeting the needs of poor children, he could alleviate some of their anxiety and bring peace through generosity. Listen to this podcast to explore this more!
